Syllabus and Entries

The Syllabus is available to download here.

The deadline for entries has now been extended to Friday 21st October 2022.

Entries should be made using the online RunMyFestival system. We are working on a page of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to help answer any queries you may have. If you have any problems, please contact the appropriate Entries Secretary using the Contact page of this website.

An official Entry Form is also available to download.

Please note that we found an error in the original syllabus. The poem title for Class 5 should be “Winter Weather” not “Winter Morning” as previously published. This error was corrected on the online syllabus and RunMyFestival on 12th September 2022.

The duologue in Class 15 has also been revised. This was updated on the online syllabus and RunMyFestival on 16th September 2022.

An invoice for the appropriate entry fee will then be emailed to schools or individuals, including the necessary information to allow payment by BACS. Schools, please remember to fill in a purchase order number because some Multi-Academy Trusts will not pay invoices without this on the invoice sent to them.

Alternatively, if necessary, entry forms can still be sent by post, including cheques made payable to “St Austell Festival of Music and Speech”.  They should be sent to:

Music – Anne Keast, 6 Highfield Avenue, St Austell PL25 4SN

Spoken Word – Pat Whitehouse, 4 Crinnis Wood Avenue, St Austell PL25 3QD

All entries should be received by Friday 7th October 2022 at the latest.  Please note that late entries may not be accepted.

Please note that RunMyFestival must be used, or the Festival’s official entry forms, because this is also the means of indicating that the necessary consents have been obtained with regard to Safeguarding and Data Protection.
