Syllabus and Entries

The 2024 Syllabus is available to download here.

The deadline for entries is Friday 18th October 2024 at 23:59:59.

We would like to clarify that an own choice piece can only be performed once by the same entrant during the Festival. 03/08/2024

Please also note that our Spoken Word team offer additional training/coaching if required. Please contact the Spoken Word Secretary for details.

Entries should be made using the online RunMyFestival system. We are working on a page of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to help answer any queries you may have. If you have any problems, please contact the appropriate Entries Secretary using the Contact page of this website.

An official Entry Form 2024 is also available to download.

An invoice for the appropriate entry fee will then be emailed to schools or individuals, including the necessary information to allow payment by BACS. Schools, please remember to fill in a purchase order number because some Multi-Academy Trusts will not pay invoices without this on the invoice sent to them.

Alternatively, if necessary, entry forms can still be sent by post, including cheques made payable to “St Austell Festival of Music and Speech”.  They should be sent to:

Music – Rebecca Thomas, 1 Bre Wartha, Grampound Road, Truro TR2 4BU

Spoken Word – Pat Whitehouse, 4 Crinnis Wood Avenue,
St Austell PL25 3QD

Please note that RunMyFestival must be used, or the Festival’s official entry forms, because this is also the means of indicating that the necessary consents have been obtained with regard to Safeguarding and Data Protection.
